Was looking to purchase lanyards for my pocket knives and, while I wanted decent quality, I didn't need anything too expensive so I decided to buy this three pack in coyote brown. Not only was I impressed with how these 4" lanyards looked and functioned on my knives but so too was I very pleasantly surprised that the seller, VeXra, included a free lanyard key ring as a bonus to thank me for my purchase! In addition, the seller's instructions on how to thread the lanyards through tight holes using a length of thin string, which can be found in the photos on the product description page, made a seemingly impossible task so very easy to perform! Great lanyards, nice price and outstanding seller!Update: Purchased a few more knives so, of course, I needed to buy more lanyards. While I stayed with the 4" length, this time I opted for the lime green color to complement my new EDC's. When I received the new lanyards, though, I discovered that the lanyard holes on the new knives were too small to allow the paracord to pass through, even using a piece of string to try to thread it. Disappointed, I contacted Harold at VeXra, told him about my dilemma and asked him if he had another solution. After offering a few suggestions, including using thinner paracord, Harold finally came to the conclusion that the only way to make the paracord thin enough for my needs would be to completely gut it and then make the handle of the lanyard a King Cobra weave for size and strength. He even made a sample and sent me a photo of the new version for my approval, which I immediately ok'd. A few days later the new lanyards with the gutted paracord and King Cobra weave arrived and I was able to thread them, using a piece of string, through the smaller lanyard holes very easily. I couldn't be happier! Bottom line, if you're not sure if the VeXra lanyards will fit whatever you want to attach them to or even if there's a problem with a purchase for whatever reason, contact Harold and I'm sure that he'll do everything in his power to accommodate you! Supreme customer service! It’s not truly thick, as my heading insists, but I’m finding it impossible to feed into a smallish lanyard reception hole on my Kershaw Cryo pocket knife. Pull assist string is breaking before I can feed the lanyard; the collective thickness of string, and double width lanyard roping is too fat for threading. I’m searching for stronger picture frame wire instead of string. Wish me luck. The lanyard(s) seem just what I wanted, but attaching it is frustrating. Oh well…I've purchased a number of products from RedVex and have never been disappointed. Although I can make (and have made) my own paracord zipper pulls in the past, I just trust RedVex work more (how they melt the ends so well is beyond me). They are high quality and very consistent. With what I do for work, a zipper pull could be the difference between life or death for myself or someone else (if you know, you know). The fact that I'm willing to bet my life (and maybe someone else's) on these zipper pulls should tell you all you need to know. P.S. And their Ranger beads are top notch too.I bought these lanyards for use with some camping items, but mainly for use with my Victorinox RangerGrip 79 knife, and the Huntsman too. The Victorinox "lanyard" that you can buy separate from the knives is really just a zipper-pull to my way of thinking, and the RedVex Paracord units seemed more robust and versatile. I was VERY impressed with both the quality and size (4") being just what I needed. It also included a split-ring equipped Lanyard as a free gift! The knotwork is very well executed and the heat-fusing on the ends is highly professional. Having tried that many times myself, I know it is an all or nothing proposition. Thanks to REDVEX in all respects! This is NOT a knife lanyard this is a keychain. There is no way to put this on a knife. There should be a longer loop to attach this to the knife handle not a key ring. So, if you’re looking for a key chain then it’s great, if you’re looking to out this on your knife it’s not going to work.4 inch was the perfect size. I use them on my edc knivesI bought a 3 pak of the 4” black. It arrived in a very nice package with a thank you note from the owner. He included a free key ring lanyard! I’m happy to patronize this small family business. The 4” lanyards are perfect for my picket knives. 4” is not too long or too short. I slip loop under my pocket clips and don’t worry about feeding it through small holes. When you do that, you don’t need a separate lanyard for each knife you own. It works fine attached to clips. I’ll be ordering a pack of 2” and 6” lanyards today to experiment with and maybe a few different colors. I highly recommend these products and the small family business that makes them.Bought a new SAK with a nice paracord lanyard and decided to add one to my other knives. Exactly what I was looking for, equal quality (maybe even a bit better) to the victorinox lanyard. Would purchase again.
