I bought these 2 years ago. (As I go through my Amazon account, I realized I hadn't rated these.) They are wonderful! I have worn two of the four chains over the past two years. They look great and I have not had any issues with durability. The same goes for the retractable part. The plastic cover lasts only a school year but that is typical and I am not surprised. I will have to buy a couple of plastic covers in the future but the chains are still going strong. I would definitely recommend.
